Liquid nitrogen storage type nitrogen generators are widely adopted in high-precision industrial scenarios due to their stable gas supply, high nitrogen purity and uninterrupted operation capacity. Different from traditional on-site nitrogen generation equipment, this type of device relies on stored liquid nitrogen gasification to produce nitrogen, and its daily operation and maintenance costs cover multiple dimensions including raw material consumption, equipment maintenance, energy consumption, labor management and accessory replacement, forming a complete and controllable cost system. For industrial users with continuous and large nitrogen demand, clarifying the composition of daily operating costs is crucial for optimizing production budgets and improving economic benefits.
The core daily cost comes from liquid nitrogen raw material consumption, which accounts for more than 70% of the total operating cost. The consumption volume is closely related to nitrogen output, working hours and gasification efficiency of the equipment. Standard industrial liquid nitrogen has a fixed gasification ratio, and high-quality storage and gasification equipment can reduce volatilization loss during storage and conversion. In addition, energy consumption cost is a basic daily expenditure, mainly including the power consumption of storage tank pressure maintaining system, gasification heater, pipeline pressure regulating device and intelligent control system. Compared with PSA and membrane separation nitrogen generators, its power consumption per cubic meter of nitrogen is lower under long-term continuous operation, which forms a unique energy-saving advantage in high-load working conditions.
Daily maintenance and accessory replacement costs are long-term stable expenditures for liquid nitrogen storage nitrogen generators. Conventional daily maintenance includes regular inspection of storage tank heat insulation layer, pipeline tightness, pressure gauge and safety valve calibration, and regular cleaning of gasification components, which only requires basic labor cost and low-cost detection accessories. Wearable parts such as filter elements, sealing rings and pressure sensors have a long replacement cycle, usually 6 to 12 months, with low single replacement cost. Meanwhile, the equipment has a low failure rate, no frequent shutdown maintenance is required, and the downtime loss cost is far lower than that of other types of nitrogen generators. Overall, although the initial investment of liquid nitrogen storage nitrogen generators is slightly higher, the comprehensive daily operation and maintenance cost is stable and controllable, with no hidden high-cost items, suitable for long-term stable industrial production scenarios.
